Welcome to my blog you gorgeous gluten-less human...

I'm so glad you're here!

Sheffield Gluten Free Guide

Sheffield Gluten Free Guide

I went to university in Sheffield, and loved my four years there. It's full of cute cafes hidden all over the city, and the peak district makes it a great outdoorsy weekend away. On a non-gluten free note, make sure you visit the alpaca farm.

Here are my recommendations for eating gluten free in Sheffield!

Breakfast/Brunch

The Cabin

The Cabin has, without a doubt, the best gluten free pancakes and waffles I've ever eaten. It's Canadian themed and so cosy, with tons of sweet and savoury options. They also have delicious smoothies which come in mason jars (I'm a sucker for a gimmick)

Alyssum

Ok so when I wrote that the Cabin has the best pancakes and waffles, I forgot about Alyssum's amazing pancakes! This gorgeous Greek cafe in Crookesmoor is tiny and gets full quickly, but if you manage to grab a table you're in luck. I went here for mothers' day 2017 and devoured the most amazing GF pancakes, but they also have lots of yummy GF Greek lunch options.

Lunch

Couch

I love the gluten free sandwiches available at couch, and the sides are even better. The salt and pepper potato wedges are just incredible! Couch has a couple of locations in Sheffield, my personal fave is the cute Ecclesall Road restaurant.

Dinner

Peddler Night Market

If you happen to be in Sheffield on the first weekend of the month, don't miss Peddler Night Market! An old warehouse is transformed into tons of food stalls, a bar and cute craft stalls too. As the stalls vary I can't guarantee the gluten free offering will be amazing, but every time I've been there's been a few delicious options.

Smoke BBQ

Smoke BBQ is actually a chain but there's only a few. If you're a meat lover (I've gone veggie but the pic below still makes me drool) then this is the place for you! There's loads of gluten free BBQ options, including the amazing gluten free sharer platter (pictured below). The twice cooked chips are the real highlight, but it also includes ribs, pulled pork, chicken, turkey thighs and corn on the cob.
